Trance Isn't not Music

I was having a little discussion with a friend of mine that was annoying me a little. She was saying that Trance isn't music. I believe it is. I didn't ask why she thought that because she would probably have thought of some stupid reason. In my opinion, if music makes you feel something, anything then its counted as music. Beatboxing is music, cause I beatbox and people dance to it =D singing on its own is music. She has no right to say that trance isn't music. SO I ended the conversation by saying this. "you're right, it isn't music, its a bunch of musical instruments recorded digitally to create a faster beat and higher frequency. not music at all." I would have elaborated but kept it simple. I didn't want to scare her away. Even if you don't like this genre of music it doesn't give you the right to discourage others and say it isn't. I love trance music and for those who don't like it, I get offended. I know its stupid but i've been listening to this genre for all my life. I've grown with it. I don't say anything or the sort as 'thats not music' I like every genre there is. Even if its a tiny bit and most of it is a dislike haha! :)
