- You can't expect this to happen overnight. It takes time, so be patient and expect to have to focus for the first few weeks.2
- Be reasonable and adjust your time for work and rest.
- 3Start with little things, such as cleaning. This way you can work your way up to bigger things like waking up at 5:00 am and running!
- 4As soon as you wake up in the morning, just wash your face and freshen up. You will feel 10 times better, and you will feel like doing so much more.
- 5If you are in school, do all assignments and projects right away. This will also cut down on stress. If you are working, don't stress over hours. Sometimes you are too lazy to go in early but if you get a schedule and wake up the same time every morning, you will feel so much less lazy and tired.
- 6Start your day with positive self talk. For example, today I will do this (whatever you plan to do that day).
- 7Just do it! There isn't any cure for being lazy. The only way to overcome this is by setting your mind to the task and completing it. Have self-discipline.
- 8Life is short! Just remember how quickly days, months, years, and even decades can pass. You might later regret not being able to do things that you could have done when you were younger. If you can stop being lazy as quickly as possible, then you will reduce this risk of being regretful.
- 9Walk outside daily.
- 10Set a schedule and journal. Laziness can come from procrastination and not knowing what is coming next. Once you set a schedule for yourself you better organize how your day goes. Keep a weekly journal of what you have accomplished and what still needs work. This way you will evaluate your progress and be encouraged to keep going.
- 11Listen to energetic music that gets you "pumped up" and feeling active. It will help make a pace to your day. Good ideas are workout songs, exercise jams, etc.

Inspired by Tumblr, Talked through Google Taught by Wikihow.
After seeing a gif on tumblr of someone typing 'How to stop being lazy' I actually googled it. I really don't remember when I became lazy but I do remember when I was in primary school I was coming home from school, I'd do my work, then I'd eat dinner and just play/do shit. Now I come home from uni, I sit on the computer listen to music then sleep then have a lousy attempt to do my homework. I don't go out for walks I don't do anything energetic and I DON'T keep a schedule. I need to start keeping a schedule. I can't afford mucking up and getting low marks for uni when I know I can actually achieve a 90 to 100 percent mark for each of my subjects. Its this lazyness. I need to watch what I'm eating I need fix this shit! Which will possibly get rid of this 'depression' of mine.
