I need to take photos of my sister for a magazine cover I'm doing for an assignment. The photo itself has to be 'properly' shot in terms of how you manage to portray it. Other then that I believe that it doesn't have to be edited. Its mainly concentrated on the font used, the layout and the minor graphic that you need to create in Illustrator. We're using InDesign, and I'm pretty familiar with it now but there is so much I don't know. When I was at a lecture with McHeart, we had a guess lecturer who was currently in the field of Graphic Design and he said " Go hard at it, don't give yourself a chance not to". What he meant by that is when you're in the field you have less freedom then what we have in University. Your time frame to do a design is shortened by a lot and in University you have a lot more time to do background work seeing we don't have to worry about printers or what not as yet (Professionally wise, which include what type of paper used). Even though we don't have to make this assignment look out best on the visual side I think I'm going to go hard at it. I want to see how much I have changed and grew from the start to the end of the year and especially at the end of the actual course. I know I might be saying this now and not actually do it but you need to start somewhere even if its just saying it and doing it months later.
I'll post up the final photos on my tumblr www.aurrum.tumblr.com and I'll be posting my back up work on here, only because I'll loose followers if I post up terrible photos -.-. Those damn ungrateful followers lol (only a few understand the meaning of backup work!)
